Guide for seafarers

Seafarer documents checklist: what companies ask for before they hire

Before a company hires you it checks that your documents are genuine and in date. Having them ready, and scanned clearly, makes you faster to hire. This list follows what NIMASA asks for when revalidating a CoC; your rank and vessel decide exactly which apply.

Sources last checked 2026-11-05. This guide explains published requirements and is not legal advice; NIMASA’s current instructions always come first.
